How did Daddy's Girl Ministries get started?
The motive behind the name “Daddy’s Girl Ministries” is in honor of my fathers – my earthly father and my Heavenly Father. My earthly father, who gave me one of life’s most precious gifts - teaching me about the love of Jesus; and my Heavenly Father, who gave me life’s greatest gift - salvation through Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, I Thessalonians 5:9)
In March of 2007, my family and I faced an extremely difficult time in our lives as my 16-year battle with a rare illness continued to worsen. As I sat back and watched how my family and I dealt with this hardship, the idea of Daddy’s Girl Ministries was placed upon my heart. We were able to cope during this time, and even see blessings come from it, because we knew God was in control. I wanted the whole world to experience this strong and precious daily relationship with Jesus as I did.
How does the term "Daddy's Girl" apply to you?
Are you the apple of your daddy’s eyes? Do you consider yourself a “Daddy’s Girl?” Or maybe you are just the opposite. You don’t have the kind of relationship you wish you had with your father.
Regardless of your relationship with your earthly father, your Heavenly Father longs to have a close relationship with you. God is not far off in the heavens, unreachable. He is right here with you in the form of the Holy Spirit. (John 14:26) He wants to have a close relationship with you. He wants you to call upon Him for everything. He wants to provide for you. He wants you to know Him as your Savior - and He wants you to know Him as your Daddy. Your Abba Father, your Heavenly Daddy, loves you. He loves you so much that He died for you.
What is the purpose of Daddy's Girl Ministries?
The purpose of Daddy's Girl Ministries is to strengthen your relationship with your Heavenly Father. To walk beside you in this journey called "life." To remind you that you are never alone. To pray for you, and to praise with you. For you to experience your own amazing relationship with Jesus. And most importantly, for you to seek the eternal reward that only comes through knowing Jesus, the greatest gift of all.
